Working alongside our Aged Care team for just over three years, Lauren is our exceptional allied health assistant, who is passionate about helping our clients with their home exercise programs, setting up and learning to use AT, and education on digital literacy.
Lauren is a hard-working and dedicated member of our allied health team, and we are also very proud to announce that she is a finalist in the 2026 WA Excellence in Allied Health Awards for Allied Health Assistant of the Year.
I feel honoured and humbled not only to have been nominated, but also to have been shortlisted as a finalist. It is incredibly rewarding to work alongside such a dedicated team of individuals who share a common goal - providing the best possible care to members of our community.None of what I do would be possible without the support, guidance, and expertise of the entire team. I am truly grateful to work with such a wonderful group of people.
What does your role involve?
I provide therapeutic interventions under CHSP under the guidance of the OT and Physio team. I also work with the physiotherapy team visiting clients to assist with their home exercise programs. My normal day involves providing equipment set up and training for our clients, for example providing personal alarm education. I have also started digital literacy education sessions for our clients.
What do you like most about your role and working at Indigo?
Tell us about the most interesting project you have worked on during your career.
Describe a memorable moment arising from your role.
I find the most memorable moments are when clients tell me that they were able to use their personal alarm safely in an emergency or when I have finished a block of physio visits with a client and they remark on how much better they are feeling or progressing and now have the confidence to complete daily walks independently.
Of the four Indigo values (integrity, passion, creativity, together), which one do you express the most strongly during your workday and why?
