Throughout the month of November, Indigo had the pleasure of hosting occupational therapists from Charles Gairdner Hospital and Osborne Park Hospital to our Experience Centre, as well as Certificate Four Allied Health Assistant students studying at South Metropolitan TAFE. These events provided a unique opportunity for students to have a hands-on experience with AT under the guidance of Indigo’s staff, and allow the occupational therapists to explore our personal alarms and brush up on their knowledge.
During these sessions, students and OTs alike delved into our range of AT, gaining insights into their real-world applications for enhancing the independence and quality of life for their clients.
Our team took pride in demonstrating how each device integrates into daily life, from personal alarms that ensure safety and independence, to mobility aids that increase home and community access.
Indigo remains dedicated to fostering opportunities for learning and connection, and by welcoming visitors, students, allied health professionals, and clients alike, we aim to increase knowledge and access to assistive technology for everyone.
In 2026, we will be hosting several Open Days in our Experience Centre so that everyone can explore our range of AT and learn about the benefits of assistive tech. We’ll also be providing more opportunities for on-site information sessions, so keep an eye out next year for more information.
