We're hosting open days on Friday 20th February, Thursday 19th March, and Wednesday 15th April.
The Experience Centre will be open from 10am - 2pm for you to explore, plus you can enjoy a coffee from the coffee van in the morning, and listen to our experienced allied health professionals as they host bite-sized learning talks from 12 - 1pm.
Our Experience Centre has a wide range of assistive technology for you to discover - from kitchen and bathroom aids, to personal alarms and electric recliner chairs.
Whether you're looking for a piece of equipment for yourself or your loved one, or you're an allied health professional wanting to broaden your knowledge of assistive technology, you can book a one-on-one appointment with one of our occupational therapists, who will guide you through display floor and help you find the right assistive technology that allows you to develop your independence in your daily life.
Electric recliner chairs bring easy comfort to any room, using simple buttons to help you lean back, lift your feet, or find the perfect resting spot. They offer smooth movement, gentle support, and are especially helpful for those who want extra ease when relaxing or standing up.
Mobility aids like powered and manual wheelchairs, rollators, and walkers give can give you steady support for everyday movement. They offer comfort, safety, and independence, whether you need help getting around at home, enjoying time outdoors, or staying active with ease. Our staff can help you select the right mobility aid for you, and you can trial a variety of mobility aids on our display floor.
The Experience Centre kitchen is a fully functioning and accessible kitchen, equipped with height adjustable cabinets and table, accessible sink and oven, and a large range of small kitchen assistive tech products, from electric can openers, to tippable kettles. Here, you can try out the fittings and AT in a homey environment, with help from Indigo's staff, to see how our AT can help you back home.
Our Daily Living Aids wall has a wide range of AT products designed to help you increase your independence in your daily life. From long handled gardening supplies and leg lifters, to dressing sticks and desktop aids, there's an AT product for every area of your life.
Bathroom aids such as over‑toilet frames, commodes, rails, and shower chairs or stools bring simple, reliable support to everyday routines. They help create a safer space by reducing slips and strain, and can support you to feel more secure and independent in sitting, standing, and personal care tasks. Our staff can help you trial and select the right piece of bathroom equipment for you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to book an appointment?
Our Experience Centre is open for appointments from Monday to Friday, 8am - 4pm.
Can I visit the Experience Centre if I'm self-funded?
Yes, however, at this stage, appointments with our occupational therapists to tour the Experience Centre will be the same price as a 1 hour allied health appointment.
We are also hosting free open days on Friday 20th February, Thursday 19th March, and Wednesday 22nd April, where you can tour the Experience Centre and speak to our staff.
