Indigo's home modification assessment services can support you arranging modifications to feel independent, confident and safe within your home.

Once we have completed our assessment, our therapists can support you through the process of modification projects both simple and complex, from a simple railing to a full structural change.

Consultation and assessment

Indigo does not perform the actual home modifications work, rather we assist you in identifying your needs, gathering the information required for reports to NDIS to secure funding, assistance with designs and drawings and liaison with builders approved to perform modifications works under NDIS funded arrangements.

The cost of home modifications can vary. Our therapists can advise you on different options to best suit your needs and your finances and funding.

Home modifications may be included in your NDIS plan according to your individual circumstances. Our therapists can assist you in determining your eligibility for funding or other assistance and help you in developing required reports for submission to NDIS.

Indigo occupational therapists will come to your property to complete the assessment.

You should be present for the assessment to discuss with Indigo’s occupational therapists what your aims are and how your lifestyle and activities impact these aims.

The initial visit from our therapists to discuss your needs and gather information for the assessment will take a few hours. The process of seeking funding, final approval and the consequent modification works can take months, depending on complexity of the works and time taken for funding approval.

This is a Perth-based service as our therapists will need to visit your home to discuss your needs and perform the assessment.
